About Norway
- Norway is a rich Scandinavian country, neighbour to Sweden, reaching far north and beyond the polar circle.
- For many years Norway was part of the kingdom of Denmark, indeed, some of the most famous Danes through history were originally born in Norway, such as the naval hero Tordenskjold and the playwright Holberg.
- Around the world Norway is known, just like Denmark, for its Viking age with longships as well as democratic values. Norway also fostered world-famous artists such as Edvard Munch, the classical composer Edvard Grieg, writers Henrik Ibsen and Knut Hamsun and the successful pop band, A-ha.
