Interview with Elizabeth Frisch

Keynote speaker, author and business performance expert Elizabeth Frisch is a consultant to companies, government agencies and nonprofits alike. She brings her immense knowledge to all of her speaking engagements, keeping audiences engaged with her humorous and unique perspectives on life. In this interview with A-Speakers she reveals where she finds her inspiration and gives her best tips for budding entrepreneurs.

Who or what inspires you most?

People inspire me. People who want to make a difference in the world and are doing it!

Do you have a favorite experience from your speaking career?

My very first keynote at a highly technical conference, I shared a personal story about my life and past health issue while building a business. A woman who weighed 300 pounds came up to me in tears and said, “I now know I can lose this weight, you’ve changed my life,” and hugged me.

What do you gain personally from being a public speaker?

My core value is empowerment and I get so much of my energy from the letters, emails, and calls I get from people who use what I teach and make huge changes in their lives, workplaces, and communities.

What is the main message that you hope audiences take away from your “Change Yourself, Change Others” talk?

Whether you are 1 or 100 years old, you have an unbelievable capacity to evolve, create, and make big things happen.

Can you give three tips for budding entrepreneurs wishing to turn their big ideas into reality?

1) Know your psychological baggage because it owns you. Everyone has a trigger(s) that can torpedo their ability to make big things happen.

2) Master co-opetition not solo-entrepreneurship.

3) If you can’t explain your idea, your business, your goal in 60 seconds or less, and powerfully make an action request to the listener, you don’t have it nailed yet…keep working on it.
