About 9/11
- On September 11, 2001, two planes flew into the World Trade Center in New York City, causing the tower to collapse. Around 3000 people died and thousands were wounded in what has been called the worst terrorist attack in American history.
- Al-qaeda and its leader Osama Bin Ladn took responsibility for the terrorist attack and the US declared war on terror as a result, invading Afghanistan but a few months after the 9/11 attack.
