Copenhagen is located at the heart of Scandinavia and is considered the largest city with a population of 1.9 million. As a location for conventions, meetings and keynote speaker events, Copenhagen is ranked as one of the world’s most popular destinations. With the exciting environment, wide range of different venues, plenty of hotels to choose from and several activities to occupy guests in their spare time, Copenhagen has proven that the city is capable of successfully hosting your next event, whichever type of event that may be.

With an internationally acclaimed airport located only 13 minutes from the city centre, Copenhagen is an easy access destination. The infrastructure in the Danish capital is quick, easy and comfortable and you can navigate around the compact city by bus, metro, bike or by foot.

Since it’s easy to get from point A to B, meeting attendees and clients won’t have to waste their time on transportation, but can experience what the city of Copenhagen has to offer. This harbour city has many possibilities for water activities such as sightseeing, dinner or teambuilding tours by boat. Copenhagen is also considered a food mecca, and can cater to all tastes and budgets. A popular local dish is “Smørrebrød” which are open-faced sandwiches served mainly on rye bread for lunch along with a cold beer.

In regards to venues for events and conferences, Copenhagen can offer a great selection of locations with different sizes and atmospheres. The Bella Centre is the largest convention centre in Scandinavia and has more than 100 meeting rooms and auditoriums – including a plenary hall that can accommodate up to 12,000 people. This allows you to host any type of setup and feature a keynote speaker or other entertainment.

Other venues include smaller spaces close by the water such as Toldboden, formal settings at Kokkedal Castle Copenhagen, historical venues as Øksnehallen and many other options.

Ulrika Mårtensson, Head of Communications at Wonderful Copenhagen states that peak season for visiting Copenhagen is April-September/early October and lists reasons why you should choose Copenhagen as your next location for an event with a keynote speaker.

“The short distances and yet metropolitan atmosphere, the green and sustainable profile and approach, the high quality of life and the high level of education and language skills in the population helps make Copenhagen truly unique.”

Let Copenhagen welcome you and your clients to the beautiful Danish capital.
