The capital of music offers a lot of cultural activities, ranging from passionate operas to historical museums, where one can discover the profound heritage that Vienna has to offer.

As for popular venues for speaking conferences there are three main options available:

1)    The Hofburg Vienna – known as the former winter palace of the Hapsburgs, it holds the largest meeting room for 1500 participants. The historic building is centrally located and would be a gorgeous venue for a gala dinner or corporate events with keynote speakers.

2)    The Austria Center Vienna – which is the largest built conference center in Vienna, includes a plenary hall for 4300 participants, and more than 170 meeting rooms in different sizes plus exhibition space.

3)    The Messe Wien – holds four large exhibition halls, which partly can be transformed to meeting rooms and a conference center. The venue is specialized in meetings and events with large exhibitions.

As a prosperous city Vienna would be an ideal location to host an event with a keynote speaker, and clients would find themselves in a city with a mixture of historical heritage and modern lifestyle.

Navigating around the city is both practical and safe, and the infrastructure provides a well functioning public transportation system. Clients, delegates and speakers can therefore navigate around the city without any worries and experience all that the city has to offer.

Christian Mutschlechner, Director of the Vienna Convention Bureau, recommends a must see location, whilst visiting Vienna.

“When sightseeing and discovering the historical heritage of Vienna, a must see is Schönbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Habsbourg family.”

Vienna is with out a doubt a beautiful location for your next speaker event, and has many possibilities when picturing your next conference or meeting. According to Christian Mutschlechner the best time period to visit Vienna is between April and October, and also the month of December.

While visiting, guests should allow themselves to indulge in culinary experiences and try the famous local dishes Wiener Schnitzel and Boiled Beef with spinach. Then as a sweet finish the famous Sachertorte or the Viennese Applestrudel would be savory treats to end the Austrian visit.
