Natalie Stavas was just about to pass the finish line at the 2013 Boston Marathon when she heard a large explosion and was paralyzed for a short moment. As people ran towards her and away from the explosion, she knew she couldn’t do the same. So she ran into the chaos.
Natalie’s story does not only revolve around the tragic attack in 2013. Born on a farm in Nebraska, she has had to overcome people’s lack of faith in her dreams. As a Harvard graduate and successful keynote speaker, Natalie certainly proved them wrong. She currently works as a physician at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia when she’s not out in the world sharing her story and aid to those in need. Natalie’s story has already inspired people across the globe, and she was named one of “Boston’s Best” by Improper Bostonian magazine. Additionally, The Boston Globe awarded her with the honorable “2013 Bostonian of the Year”.

I like it! It was visually pleasing and felt like an IMAG documentary that they show at the Smithsonian's Museum of Natural History here in DC. Yes, it was her talk but it also felt like I was on a journey. Definitely a refreshing change from the typical talking heads we've all seen too many times now in virtual events and meetings.
