Doping is illegal and many sports keep very strict control programs to try and prevent doping, in part because doping makes for unfair competition but also because doping can actually be very dangerous.

But is doping here to stay? Have we reached a point where we have to be naïve beyond reason to believe Tor d France or the Olympics are clean sports? What can be done? What should be done?
