Keynote speaker David McCandless is a London-based author, data-journalist and information designer, working across print, advertising, TV and web. His blog and best-selling books “Information Is Beautiful” and “Knowledge is Beautiful” are dedicated to visualising ideas, issues, knowledge and data - and to discovering novel patterns and stories in the seas of data swamping and surrounding us.
Speaker David McCandless’s information design work has appeared in hundreds of publications internationally and online including The Guardian, Wired, and The Huffington Post. His commercial clients include Google, Kantar, Visa, GE and the BBC as well as NGO-work with the UN, Pew and Friends of the Earth. TED Global 2010 featured speaker David McCandless delivered the Bill & Melinda Gates Distinguished Lecture at Cambridge University, and has since shared his passion for data and design at over 100 international conferences and events.
