Matt Kurleto is an AI strategist, entrepreneur and advisor to C-suite executives who want to turn artificial intelligence into measurable business results. With more than 20 years of experience building companies, leading innovation and advising organisations, he brings a practical perspective to the opportunities and challenges of AI adoption.
As the founder of Neoteric, a technology company serving clients including Boeing, the World Bank, ZF Group and CrowdStrike, Matt understands what it takes to move from strategy to execution. His keynotes challenge conventional approaches to AI and introduce practical frameworks for investment decisions, implementation and long-term value creation. Drawing on more than 5,000 hours of consulting and training experience, Matt Kurleto helps leaders identify where AI can make a difference, what to prioritise and how to turn promising ideas into profitable outcomes.
Matt Kurleto is an AI strategist, entrepreneur, keynote speaker and trusted advisor to C-suite executives. His expertise lies in solving one of the biggest challenges facing organisations today: turning ambitious artificial intelligence strategies into measurable financial results.
While many companies invest heavily in AI initiatives, relatively few have a clear approach to capturing the value those investments promise. Matt focuses on the critical gap between strategic presentations and actual business performance. His approach combines technological understanding, commercial experience and practical methods that executives can put to work immediately.
With more than 5,000 hours of experience as a consultant and trainer in AI, innovation and strategy, Matt Kurleto helps organisations move beyond experimentation and make better decisions about where, when and how to invest in artificial intelligence.
His presentations are particularly relevant for executive teams, business leaders and organisations looking to translate AI opportunities into competitive advantages, operational improvements and sustainable growth.
Matt Kurleto's perspective is shaped by more than two decades of building and growing businesses.
In 2005, he founded Neoteric as a solo venture and developed it into a technology company employing more than 100 people. The company earned recognition in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Central Europe ranking and has worked with international organisations including Boeing, ZF Group, the World Bank and CrowdStrike.
Today, Matt leads Neoteric's AI, innovation and strategy practice, helping companies navigate technological change while maintaining a strong focus on business performance.
His entrepreneurial experience extends across several ventures. He built Skillhunt, a venture capital-backed recruitment company, and Appoint.ly, a booking platform that reached 30,000 users. He also developed SaaS Manager, an AI-powered product that reduced telecom customer churn by more than 20%.
These experiences give Matt firsthand insight into the realities of introducing new technologies, developing products, managing growth and demonstrating financial returns. He approaches AI from the perspective of someone who has personally faced the commercial consequences of strategic decisions.
One of Matt Kurleto's defining strengths as a speaker is his ability to translate complex AI challenges into practical frameworks that leaders can use.
He is the architect of the Neoteric AI Innovation Funnel, a structured approach that replaces static AI strategies with a six-stage, gated process. Beginning with an AI Maturity Check and progressing towards Scale, the framework helps organisations test ideas, eliminate weak initiatives early and direct funding towards solutions that demonstrate genuine potential.
Matt also developed the ROI Engineering method, which distinguishes between the value AI can theoretically create and the value an organisation can actually capture. By accounting for the full costs of implementation over 36 months, this approach encourages more realistic investment decisions and stronger financial accountability.
Another of his concepts, "AI as a Monkey, an Intern or an Expert", offers employees a straightforward way to understand which tasks can be delegated to AI and which require human involvement.
Through these methods, Matt addresses some of the most important questions facing business leaders:
How can organisations identify AI opportunities with genuine commercial potential?
Which AI initiatives deserve investment, and which should be stopped?
How can companies calculate realistic returns on AI investments?
What should employees delegate to AI, and where does human expertise remain essential?
How can successful AI experiments be scaled across an organisation?
His focus is on making AI understandable, actionable and financially meaningful, without losing sight of the people and processes required for successful implementation.
Beyond building technology companies, Matt Kurleto has extensive experience evaluating startups, advising investors and developing innovation ecosystems.
He has advised on 40 venture capital investments and served as Head of Strategy at the TechSeed accelerator, operating across the European Union and the United Arab Emirates. The accelerator received more than 300 applications and invested in 18 startups.
This work has strengthened Matt's understanding of how innovative ideas are assessed, funded and transformed into viable businesses. It also informs his approach to corporate AI investments, where disciplined prioritisation and a clear understanding of commercial potential are essential.
In 2019, he initiated Startup Hansa, an initiative focused on developing the startup ecosystem in the Baltic region.
His combination of entrepreneurial, investment and strategic experience enables him to connect emerging technologies with the practical decisions that determine whether innovation succeeds.
Matt Kurleto has delivered presentations at more than 50 conferences and events, sharing his perspectives on artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, innovation and business strategy with international audiences.
His speaking engagements include TEDx, infoShare, the Generative AI Summit in London and Atlanta, RPA Europe, Startup Disrupt, the European Commission and the Aspen Institute Central Europe.
As a speaker, Matt draws on real business cases, personal entrepreneurial experience and structured methods rather than relying on abstract predictions about technology. He makes complex topics accessible while giving audiences practical ideas they can apply within their own organisations.
Matt is also co-author of The AI Advantage: Thriving Within Civilization's Next Big Disruption, which explores the implications of artificial intelligence and the opportunities emerging from technological transformation.
He holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Gdańsk University of Technology, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a certified Growing Pains Strategy advisor. He is also completing the MIT Sloan Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation.
Matt delivers presentations in English and Polish, making him a relevant choice for international conferences, executive gatherings and corporate events.

Keynote by Matt Kurleto:
44% of companies report efficiency gains from AI, but only 24% have turned them into profit, and nearly 40% of the time AI saves is lost to rework. The missing piece is the capture mechanism.
This keynote separates value created (hours saved, tickets deflected) from value captured (money that moves a P&L line), and shows the management decision that turns one into the other.
For CxOs, CFOs, operations leaders, leadership events
Keynote by Matt Kurleto:
A static AI strategy is out of date before the board approves it.
This keynote replaces it with the AI Innovation Funnel: six stages (Maturity Check → Exploratory → Readiness → Innovation Sprint → Pilot → Scale), each ending at a gate where you go on, iterate or stop.
Killing ideas early and cheaply is the main source of ROI.
For CxOs, transformation and innovation leaders, strategy teams
Keynote by Matt Kurleto:
One company bets its AI budget on one big project with a one-in-twenty chance. Another makes twenty cheap bets, kills nineteen early and scales the one that works.
The casino doesn't win on luck; it wins on the rules of the game.
This keynote shows leaders how to run AI as a portfolio, where killing early is the main source of ROI, not a failure.
