Reese Wong brings a distinctive voice to global stages as an award-winning social entrepreneur, policy advisor and community-builder. He founded ISSIA, Hong Kong’s largest youth-led nonprofit, and has worked across emerging technology and AI policy in the US and UK. With more than 100 talks delivered worldwide, Reese guides audiences through the future of leadership, innovation and the systems shaping tomorrow’s talent.
Reese Wong has built a reputation as one of the most prominent young voices in social impact, public policy and future governance. His work blends entrepreneurship, technology and community-building, offering a grounded perspective on how purpose-driven leadership can scale meaningfully in a rapidly shifting world. As the founder of ISSIA, Hong Kong’s largest youth-led nonprofit, Reese mobilised more than 500 volunteers across 80 schools and supported over 30 projects recognised by organisations including the UN and Nasdaq. His ability to move ideas from concept to execution has made him a powerful example of youth-led innovation with real-world results.
Reese’s contributions have been acknowledged internationally. As a 2024 Diana Award recipient, an Aspen UK Rising Leader and a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, he has been invited into global communities that gather emerging changemakers and policymakers. He also served as one of the youngest Curators within the WEF Global Shapers network, helping drive local and international programmes designed to equip young leaders with the tools to shape a more resilient future.
Through more than 100 keynotes and workshops delivered at universities, international conferences and global forums, he has engaged audiences of over 5,000, inspiring participants to think critically about the world they are inheriting and influencing.
Reese’s professional background spans emerging technology, international policy and biosecurity. He has contributed to AI and Innovation policy at the U.S. Department of State, the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and the House of Commons. His experience includes supporting global strategy and biosecurity work at the UK Health Security Agency, providing him with a unique understanding of the regulatory landscapes shaping the next era of technological advancement.
These roles, along with earlier work at AmCham HK and Ashoka, give Reese a clear, practical grasp of how governments, businesses and civil society must collaborate to build systems ready for the challenges of the future.
Beyond his policy work, Reese continues to create opportunities for young leaders worldwide.
