Her journey into entrepreneurship was not accidental. After studying at the University of Nottingham and the University of Chicago, Alex began her career at Accenture, focusing on retail and energy. In 2014, Alex co-founded Hassle.com, a marketplace for domestic cleaning services that rapidly became Europe’s largest in its category. Today, Alex is the co-founder and CEO of Resi, the UK’s largest residential architectural firm. The company focuses on using technology to simplify and improve the process of home extensions and renovations. Alex is deeply engaged in the conversation around what makes homes functional, healthy and future-ready. Beyond her role as a CEO, Alex has played an active part in shaping both industry and policy. She serves as a non-executive director at Persimmon Homes, one of the UK’s largest homebuilders, contributing strategic oversight at board level.

From 2017 to 2021, she was part of London LEAP, chaired by the Mayor of London, where she helped guide over £100 million in investment into culture and communities. During this time, she contributed to key programmes including the London C-19 Recovery Programme.
Alex has also worked on national-level initiatives. She co-authored Labour’s “Start-Up, Scale-Up” report in 2023 and contributed to the UK Government’s taskforce on Women-Led High Growth Enterprises between 2022 and 2023.
