Despite being born with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, Kyle with the help of his brother and family, regularly takes part in endurance sports and advocates for people with disabilities. His experiences of growing up in a sports-loving family, and one who insisted on all members being able to take part in family activities, have given Kyle the foundation of a 'can do' and 'will do' attitude. As he himself says, having his form of cerebral palsy means everyday physical and mental challenges are as strenuous as running a marathon. Anything he wants to do, he does it.

Kyle and his two brothers, Brent and Evan, were born and raised in Atlanta, USA. Kyle has lived with spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy all his life, but he was fortunate to have had a very supportive family. A sport-loving family, his parents and brothers always did whatever they could to include him in their games and activities. These experiences laid the foundation for a very determined young man who believed he could achieve anything he wanted.
The turning point in his life came after seeing his brother, Brent, complete the Ironman in Louisville in 2010. He wanted to know if he could do the Ironman too, and after taking some advice from famous father and son, Rick and Dick Hoyt, they began training together. A lot of hard work later, they ran in a 10k race in Atlanta and followed that up with a triathlon in Florida. It was after this race in 2011 that Kyle was inspired to set up the Kyle Pease Foundation to assist people with disabilities to get access to sports.
Kyle and Brent have run countless races including four Ironman Triathlons, and they ran their first Boston Marathon in 2021. The two brothers published a memoirs book in 2019, and have been keynote speakers since 2014.
