Meteorology is the study of weather and the atmosphere in relation to such things as temperature, density, dampness, wind, etc.

Meteorologists typically do weather forecasts on a day-to-day basis, to some degree looking into the future to predict the weather of tomorrow.

Meteorology, however, is not always a completely exact science in that respect – sometimes we do get rain even if the weather forecast promised sun – and the other way around.
