Speaker Dominic Colenso knows a thing or two about the highs as well as the lows of performance. By the time he was 26, he had flown a Thunderbird, had lost one million dollars, and also been fired by Simon Cowell. Beginning his career as a professional actor, he worked extensively on both stage and screen before training as a director at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
He performed in many of the UK’s leading theatres such as The National Theatre and The Royal Court, and also appeared on film in everything from BBC period dramas to big-budget action movies. He is probably best known for playing Virgil Tracy in the Hollywood adaptation of Thunderbirds, starring Bill Paxton and Sir Ben Kingsley.
Dominic Colenso's experience and fascination in how the body, breath, and the voice can influence performance led him to set up his communication skills training consultancy In Flow and also to write his bestselling book “
IMPACT: How to be more confident, increase your influence and know what to say under pressure.
” He now works with organizations all over the world to help individuals, teams, and leaders take center stage and deliver outstanding and fascinating performances.
