Ramona Karlsson is a motorsport champion and business-minded team owner who inspires audiences with lessons on mindset, leadership and resilience.
Ramona Karlsson is one of the most accomplished rally drivers Sweden has ever seen and a powerful voice on mindset, leadership and performance. Active in motorsport since the age of four, she has built a career defined by determination, courage and a relentless drive to improve. From historic championship victories to running her own Supercar Rallycross team, Ramona brings unique insights from an elite environment where mental strength, teamwork and accountability decide everything. As a speaker, she translates these experiences into practical tools that inspire audiences to set clear goals, overcome setbacks and perform at their best.
Ramona Karlsson’s journey in motorsport began at just four years old. After early years in motocross, crosskart and rallycross, she moved into rally in 2001. Her talent quickly became clear. She won the Swedish Crosskart Championship twice and secured two Swedish Championship medals in Junior Rallycross, laying the foundation for a career built on hard work, discipline and competitive instinct.
Over time, Ramona established herself as the most successful female rally driver in Sweden. She achieved several World Rally stage victories and continued to push boundaries in a sport where pressure, risk and precision are constant companions. Every step of her career reflects a strong mindset and an ability to perform when it matters most.
In 2013, Ramona made history together with her co-driver Miriam Walfridsson by becoming the first Swedish women ever to secure an outright victory in a Swedish Championship final. Driving a Skoda Fabia WRC, they challenged expectations and changed perceptions of what is possible at the highest level of rallying. That same year, Ramona was voted “Rally Driver of the Year” in Sweden, a recognition of both her results and her impact on the sport.
In 2014, Ramona once again broke new ground by becoming the world’s first female driver to compete in Supercar Rallycross. She quickly earned respect in the paddock for her uncompromising racing style. Making her World RX debut in Portugal, she reached the semi-finals and later took a heat victory at Höljes, one of the sport’s most demanding circuits.
From 2015 onwards, Ramona took on an even greater challenge by becoming the world’s first female driver to run her own Supercar team in the FIA European Rallycross Championships. Competing in both the European Championships and RallyX Nordic, she experienced firsthand that success at this level is about far more than driving skill.
Running a team required leadership, strategic thinking, brand marketing and the ability to build a strong, value-driven network. Motorsport became a living example of high-performance business, where clear roles, trust, communication and responsibility determine outcomes. Natural pauses in her career due to maternity leave in 2016, 2018 and 2019 further strengthened her long-term perspective, resilience and leadership skills, adding depth to her experience both on and off the track.
Today, Ramona Karlsson works as a stunt driver, driver instructor and inspirational speaker. In her lectures, she shares her personal journey from a young girl in motorsport to an elite driver, team owner and business professional. Her talks focus on setting clear goals, developing a winning mindset in tough circumstances and building a solution-oriented way of thinking.
Ramona speaks openly about teamwork, leadership, handling setbacks, overcoming fear, sales and navigating prejudice in male-dominated environments. With a strong emphasis on personal responsibility, she inspires audiences to take ownership of their performance and decisions. Her presentations are honest, engaging and grounded in real experiences from an environment where failure is visible and success must be earned every day.
