Building her own room
Raquel's leadership story did not begin in a boardroom. She was not always invited into the rooms where decisions were being made, so she learned to build rooms of her own.
That determination has deep roots. Raquel was raised with the wisdom and real-life strategies passed down through three generations of women: her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. They taught her self-reliance and the courage to create her own path, lessons that became central to the way she approached her career and leadership.
Raquel eventually founded and built a nationally recognized women's leadership conference that ran for 11 years. The platform brought together high-potential women, corporate leaders and senior executives and became a sustained leadership laboratory focused on the decisions, behaviors and skills required to turn leadership potential into organizational and community impact.
