Dr. Jeremy Goldberg blends science, storytelling and hard-won wisdom to make kindness cool, empathy popular and compassion commonplace.
Dr. Jeremy Goldberg is a recovering scientist turned life coach, TEDx speaker, author, podcast host and spoken word poet with a mission: make kindness cool, empathy popular and compassion commonplace. After working internationally with governments and universities for more than a decade, Jeremy spent five years studying the science of human behavior and completed a PhD exploring how attitudes influence action and how communication can create lasting change. Today, he brings those insights into the real world, combining science, honest storytelling, humor and spoken word to help people navigate change, deepen connection and become more compassionate human beings.
Dr. Jeremy Goldberg describes himself as someone who speaks fluent burrito, a ferocious never-giver-upper, an empathy-collecting, anti-quitting word wizard and a connoisseur of fine silver linings. He also likes to say that people pay him to make them cry.
Behind the humor is a career dedicated to understanding people and creating meaningful change. Before moving into coaching and speaking, Jeremy worked internationally with governments and universities, managed teams and millions of dollars, and published scientific research on human behavior.
But Jeremy's perspective isn't shaped by research alone. His work explores the messy realities of being human: love, resilience, struggle, connection and what it takes to keep moving when quitting would be easier.
That combination of curiosity, vulnerability and humor allows him to take complex ideas about behavior and turn them into conversations people can understand, feel and remember.
Alongside his academic credentials, Jeremy jokes that he holds an honorary doctorate from the School of Hard Knocks.
He has met rock bottom, planted a seed there, grown what he describes as a haunted house into a home and climbed out of a hole created by his own mind. Those experiences transformed his understanding of change from something he studied into something he had to live.
Rather than presenting personal growth as a polished or perfect process, Jeremy explores what happens when people face themselves with greater honesty, move through uncertainty and discomfort, and choose to keep going.
Today, he uses those lessons to help others move toward where they want to go, bringing together behavioral insight and lived experience in a way that is vulnerable, accessible and deeply human.
Jeremy founded Long Distance Love Bombs around an ambitious mission: to make kindness cool, empathy popular and compassion commonplace and ultimately leave the world a little better than it was yesterday.
That purpose has grown into a body of work spanning speaking, writing, coaching, retreats, workshops and podcasting. His podcast has achieved more than half a million downloads, while his books invite readers to actively engage with ideas around life, relationships and personal development.
Whether he is addressing an audience, working with clients or writing for his community, Jeremy encourages people to understand themselves more deeply while becoming more intentional about how they show up for others.
What makes Jeremy particularly distinctive on stage is the combination of behavioral science and spoken word poetry.
As a poet, he creates emotionally impactful pieces about love, life and everything in between, with his work reaching large audiences online through viral video. Poetry gives him a language for expressing experiences that research alone cannot always capture.
On stage, Jeremy moves between evidence and emotion, insight and vulnerability, laughter and reflection. He uses storytelling and spoken word to bring ideas to life, creating an experience that feels less like a traditional lecture and more like an honest conversation about what it means to be human.
His work spans:
Across these different formats, the purpose remains consistent: help people understand themselves and each other a little better.
Jeremy brings audiences into conversations about the things that shape how we live, connect and respond to change. His talks explore kindness, empathy, resilience, communication and human behavior through a combination of relatable stories, scientific insight, humor and spoken word.
Rather than leaving audiences with abstract theories, he encourages people to reflect on their own behavior, relationships and choices and consider how small shifts can create meaningful change.
At the heart of Jeremy's work is a simple question: how can we become better at being here for ourselves and each other?
For audiences looking for an experience that can make them think, laugh, reflect and perhaps shed a few tears along the way, Dr. Jeremy Goldberg delivers presentations designed to stay with people long after they leave the room.
Keynote by Dr. Jeremy Goldberg:
As a behavioral scientist with a PhD exploring how communication inspires lasting change, a TEDx speaker and a spoken word poet, Jeremy pairs what we know about human connection with what it actually feels like to be human.
His audiences leave a little braver, a little softer and a lot more willing to have the conversations they've been avoiding.
Jeremy has spoken at universities, conferences, corporate off-sites and mental health summits across North America and Australia. Recent keynotes include Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro, Maple Reinders Group, Veterans Affairs Canada, TEC Canada's National Chair Conference and KeyBank, with an upcoming engagement for the Canadian Mental Health Association.
At the heart of Jeremy's work are kindness as a competitive advantage, how to foster real and lasting connections between people, and what it takes to lead with your full self in a world that often rewards the opposite.
For organizations building events where they want audiences to leave changed, not simply informed, Jeremy creates experiences designed to inspire reflection, connection and meaningful action.
