Dr. Wilborn is a retired board-certified licensed professional counselor and clinical supervisor with 20+ years of professional experience. She is the owner of Wilborn Clinical Services, LLC, Dr. Tammy Lewis Wilborn, LLC, founder of the annual Black Women’s Wellness Conference of New Orleans, and former visiting assistant professor of counseling at the University of New Orleans and former adjunct professor of counseling at Xavier University of Louisiana.

Named an Emerging Leader in 2016 by the Southern Association of Counselor Education and Supervision, Dr. Wilborn is a past president of the Louisiana Association for Counselor Education and Supervision and a past board member for Fidelity Bank P.O.W.E.R. and the New Orleans chapter of the National Speakers Association.
Dr. Wilborn is a first-year Master of Divinity student at Vanderbilt Divinity School and holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, an M.S. in Counseling, and a B.A. in Psychology from Loyola University of New Orleans. She is also a 2021 graduate of Loyola University of New Orleans’ Women’s Leadership Academy.
She has been married for over 12 years to her husband and best friend and is the mother of two adult sons and a pre-teen son who thinks he’s an adult.
