Farid Tabarki is a speaker, researcher, debate moderator and event host known for his work on the European zeitgeist and the major transformations shaping modern society. As the founding director of Studio Zeitgeist, he conducts research into the shift from an industrial society towards what he describes as a liquid society.
His work focuses on how traditional structures are becoming more flexible, decentralised and transparent. Farid explores themes such as radical decentralisation, radical transparency and the changing relationship between individuals, organisations and institutions. These developments affect the way companies are organised, how decisions are made and how people participate in society.
When you book Farid Tabarki for your event, audiences are invited to look at these changes from a broader perspective and consider what they mean for business, politics and everyday life.
Through Studio Zeitgeist, Farid Tabarki works with projects and organisations across the world. This international experience gives him a broad perspective on how societal transformation develops across markets, sectors and cultures.
Studio Zeitgeist has also published “The Transformation Playground, Reinventing Business Principles”, which examines the organising principles that 21st-century companies need to take into account. The publication reflects Farid’s wider interest in how organisations can respond when established structures, hierarchies and business models are increasingly challenged by new forms of collaboration and organisation.
His work connects societal developments with practical questions for leaders and organisations. Rather than treating transformation as a distant concept, Farid looks at the forces already changing how people work, communicate and organise themselves.
Farid Tabarki has been recognised for his influence in Dutch public life. According to the Dutch newspaper de Volkskrant, he was named among the two hundred most influential people in the Netherlands and was the youngest person included on the list.
In 2016, he published the book “The End of the Middle: What a Society of Extremes Means for People, Politics and Business”. The book examines what happens when established middle positions and structures begin to disappear and society increasingly moves towards extremes.
Farid also frequently contributes a weekly column to the newspaper Het Financieele Dagblad, where he writes about developments affecting society, business and the wider zeitgeist.
Alongside his work as a speaker and researcher, Farid Tabarki has held several roles that connect him closely to culture, education and public debate.
