Book Jake Duffy for your event

Jake Duffy is first and foremost a practitioner. His approach to leadership, resilience and high performance has been shaped by experiences where execution matters: U.S. Air Force Special Operations, combat deployments in Afghanistan, entrepreneurship, executive leadership and transformation work with some of the world's largest organizations.

Success, in Jake's experience, is rarely the result of motivation alone. Sustainable performance and lasting growth require the right combination of mindset, discipline and execution. Having experienced significant setbacks as well as meaningful success throughout his career, Jake brings an authentic perspective on what it takes to navigate uncertainty, respond to adversity and continue performing when circumstances become difficult.

His keynotes combine powerful personal stories with practical frameworks audiences can put to work immediately. Rather than simply inspiring people in the room, Jake gives them tools, techniques and procedures for becoming more effective leaders, strengthening execution and creating lasting results.

From Special Operations to leadership

Jake's leadership journey began in the United States Air Force, where he served in Special Operations and deployed to Afghanistan. His military career exposed him to environments where preparation, accountability, adaptability and teamwork were essential.

His path was also marked by repeated setbacks during elite military training. Those experiences helped shape a leadership philosophy built around persistence, learning and the willingness to adapt. Jake discovered firsthand that success is not reserved for the most naturally talented person in the room. It often belongs to those prepared to keep learning, respond constructively to challenges and execute when the pressure rises.

Today, he translates those lessons into a context that resonates with leaders and teams in business. His stories of adversity and high-stakes leadership create an engaging foundation for conversations about resilience, accountability, identity, habits and the behaviors required to perform consistently.

Business growth and transformation

Following his military service, Jake built a successful consulting business that was ultimately acquired in a transaction that later became part of Accenture in 2020. He subsequently spent nearly four years as a Global Sales Strategy and Transformation Executive, helping organizations improve performance, accelerate growth and execute large-scale business transformation initiatives.

Throughout his career, Jake has worked with more than 20 Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 organizations across multiple industries. His experience spans leadership development, sales performance, organizational effectiveness, accountability, strategy execution, culture transformation and the development of high-performance teams.

Jake is known for taking complex organizational challenges and translating them into solutions that are simple, scalable and repeatable. That ability is central to his work on stage. Audiences leave with clear ideas they can apply rather than concepts that disappear when the keynote ends.

His presentations can help audiences:

  • Strengthen leadership and personal accountability in demanding environments.
  • Develop greater resilience and adaptability when facing setbacks and uncertainty.
  • Improve execution by turning strategy and intention into consistent action.
  • Build the habits, identity and systems that support sustainable performance.
  • Create stronger teams and cultures focused on ownership, purpose and results.
  • Apply lessons from military operations and business transformation to everyday leadership challenges.

Practical tools for performance

Jake has trained and coached thousands of leaders, managers and sales professionals, with the supplied background noting more than 2,000 trained and coached professionals and more than 3,000 leaders and sales professionals reached across his broader work.

That depth of experience allows him to connect leadership theory with the challenges people encounter every day. Whether he is speaking to frontline contributors, managers, sales professionals, senior leaders or C-suite executives, his focus remains on making the message relevant and actionable.

Jake's work centers on helping people lead themselves, lead others and create lasting impact. He explores how identity influences behavior, how habits shape performance and how effective systems help individuals and teams execute consistently even when motivation fluctuates or circumstances become difficult.

Today, Jake serves as Managing Partner of SL Partners, where he helps organizations develop leaders, improve execution and build sustainable performance cultures. His work includes keynotes, workshops, consulting engagements and leadership development programs, all connected by a mission to help individuals and organizations unlock their potential and perform with purpose under pressure.

A keynote built around your audience

Jake's authenticity, humility and approachable delivery are central to the experience he creates. He does not speak at an audience. He works to make each presentation feel personal, engaging and connected to the challenges people are facing in their roles and organizations.

Every keynote is customized around the client's goals, industry, culture and audience. Jake invests significant time before an engagement understanding the organization's objectives and challenges so the stories, frameworks and takeaways connect directly with what matters in the room.

That commitment continues after he leaves the stage. Jake routinely spends additional time with attendees, answering questions, sharing insights and creating meaningful connections. His objective is straightforward: every participant should leave with practical tools, actionable insights and a renewed commitment to becoming the leader their team, organization and future require.

Book speaker Jake Duffy when you want a keynote that combines combat-tested leadership experience, business insight and relatable storytelling with practical ways to improve resilience, accountability, execution and high performance. His presentations are designed to inspire action while giving leaders and teams a framework for turning that inspiration into lasting results.

Keynote by Jake Duffy:

The Failure Was Mine, So Was the Responsibility to Overcome It

Tools, Techniques, and Procedures for Sales Success

Before Jake Duffy scaled a $120M global sales organization into $300M+...Before he coached thousands of sales professionals and leaders around the world...Before he developed sales processes for some of the biggest companies on the planet...

He failed.

As a U.S. Air Force Special Operations Veteran, Jake faced failure early in his military career that nearly broke him. It wasn’t the enemy that caused it — it was his to own. That failure lit a fire he’s carried ever since — in the military, in business, and especially in sales.

This keynote is for sellers who live, under pressure, every day. For Reps who don’t have time for fluff and need real tools that actually work in the field.

Jake shares real-world-tested Tools, Techniques & Procedures (TTPs) that helped him turn failure into forward motion and drive consistent, repeatable success in sales, even in the toughest markets.

Drawing on action-packed lessons from Special Operations and nearly two decades building and scaling high-performing sales teams (including through a successful acquisition by Accenture), Jake reveals how to simplify execution in a world obsessed with complexity. Your team will learn how simple, scalable, and repeatable TTPs drive consistent results, increase confidence, and transform the way sellers approach every call, every meeting, and every quarter.

Audience Takeaways:

  • How failure shaped Jake’s mindset and built the foundation for how he leads and sells

  • Clear, scalable, and repeatable TTPs for hitting your numbers when motivation runs out

  • How to standardize high-performance behaviors so you’re not just hoping the deal closes — you’re driving it

  • The mental toughness tactics Jake used to go from setbacks to high-stakes execution

  • Why simplicity beats complexity and how to build it into your day, your habits, and your pipeline

Jake will also walk your team through:

  • Why planning, briefing, and debriefing are the secret weapons top performers use to outperform consistently.

  • How to stop “winging it” and start preparing with clarity to drive every call toward advancement, not just polite conversation and continuation.

  • The power of generating clear, concise, and actionable Lessons Learned that compound performance over time.

  • How to transform resilience and grit from buzzwords into daily behaviors that deliver consistent results.

Whether you need your top performers to level up or help Reps claw back from a tough quarter, this keynote is more than inspiring — it equips your sellers with the mindset and actionable TTP’s to immediately improve sales calls, refine their process, and drive results.

Jake speaks from real-world failures, lessons learned and earned success. Because sometimes the mission fails - what matters most is what you do next.

Keynote by Jake Duffy:

“Every Sales Result is a Leadership Result”

Building High-Performance Sales Teams Through Leadership, Accountability, and Execution

Before Jake Duffy scaled a $120M global sales organization into $300M+...Before he helped transform sales organizations across Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies...Before he coached thousands of sellers, managers, and executives around the world......He failed.

As a U.S. Air Force Special Operations Veteran and business leader, Jake learned a lesson that would shape the rest of his career: When performance falls short, leaders can blame circumstances, markets, competitors, or people—or they can take ownership and build a better system.

The best sales leaders understand a simple truth: teams rarely rise above the standards, behaviors, and expectations established by leadership.

This keynote is designed for Sales Managers, Directors, Vice Presidents, CROs, and executive leaders responsible for developing people, driving performance, and creating cultures of accountability and execution.

Drawing from his experiences leading teams in high-pressure environments, building and scaling successful businesses, serving as a Global Sales Strategy & Transformation Executive, and helping organizations improve sales performance worldwide, Jake delivers practical leadership tools that help sales leaders create sustainable results—not just short-term spikes in performance.

Using principles from his Identity-Driven Leadership framework, Jake demonstrates how great sales leaders move beyond managing activity and begin building systems that develop people, standardize excellence, and drive consistent execution throughout the organization.

In today's environment, sales leaders face increasing pressure to produce more with less, develop talent faster, improve retention, increase accountability, and consistently deliver results. Yet many organizations continue relying on motivation, heroic individual effort, and inconsistent management practices.

The result?

Inconsistent performance. Unpredictable forecasts. Manager-dependent outcomes, and teams that struggle to scale.

Jake teaches leaders how to replace complexity with clarity and create simple, scalable, and repeatable leadership systems that drive performance at every level of the sales organization.

Audience Takeaways:

  • How personal accountability transformed Jake's leadership approach and the way he builds    high-performing teams.

  • The Identity-Driven Leadership framework for creating consistency, ownership, and accountability across sales organizations.

  • How elite sales leaders develop people—not just pipelines.

  • Practical methods for standardizing winning behaviors without creating bureaucracy.

  • Why culture is not built through slogans, but through the daily behaviors leaders reinforce and reward.

  • How to create leadership systems that produce results even when leaders are not in the room

Jake will also walk your leaders through:

  • Why coaching—not managing—is the highest leverage activity in sales leadership.

  • How briefing, execution, and debriefing create continuous improvement and accelerate team performance.

  • The difference between activity management and behavior development.

  • How to build accountability systems that inspire ownership rather than compliance.

  • Why simplicity is the foundation of scalability and organizational growth.

  • Leadership habits that separate teams that occasionally win from teams that consistently outperform

Whether you're trying to develop first-line managers, strengthen leadership bench depth, improve execution, or build a more accountable sales culture, this keynote delivers practical tools your leaders can immediately implement. Jake doesn't teach leadership theory. He teaches leadership application. Because every sales result is ultimately a leadership result.

Booking Jake means bringing your leaders a proven framework for building teams that execute with discipline, accountability, and purpose. They won't simply leave inspired—they will leave with tools to coach better, lead better, and create lasting performance improvements throughout their organization.
