Mike McCarthy has more than three decades of coaching experience. In 1987, he began coaching at Fort Hays State after a successful college football career as a tight end in Division II NAIA. He later served as offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers, He led the Green Bay Packers to a Super Bowl championship in 2011, during his successful stint with the team from 2006 to 2018. In 2020, he accepted the Dallas Cowboys’ head coach position. By 2021, the Cowboys won the division title.
