Robert Greene was born May 14,1959 in California, United States. He gave up his first job as a journalist after realizing it wasn’t the job for him. He then went on to travel in Europe and do an incredible range of jobs until he met Joost Elffers, a producer of books. Joost Elffers was impressed with Greene’s ideas and financed him to write his first book, ‘The 48 Laws of Power’ which became a bestseller.
Greene saw similarities between the behavior and tactics of people he had worked with and those of great historical leaders. He saw that they wanted power, but they also wanted to disguise the fact by putting on a ‘nice face’ whilst doing some underhand manipulating behind the scenes.
The success of his first book led to people asking him for advice. He has personally consulted with over a hundred people from many different professions, companies and places in the world. He has also written another five bestselling books, one of them co-written with the rap artist 50 Cent. These books show how anyone can transform their lives, become a master at what they do, how to seduce and persuade people, and how to understand people’s motives and behavior.
