About Service Excellence

  • Service Excellence is a term that signals particularly good customer service. The term is used first and foremost in business.  
  • Excellent customer service does not necessarily come easy and it is not enough to just be polite and to take back sweaters that did not have the right colour.
  • Service excellence is very much about specified assistance. If Mr. Smith is looking for a very specific Gustav Mahler symphony for his wife it is really of no use to him – or her – if he is given Mozart instead since, after all, it is all classical music anyway. Service excellence is something else.
