In his thought-provoking lectures, Imran Rashid draws on his background as a medical specialist in general medicine to shed light on the consequences of the rapid digital development we are all part of. Imran is an experienced and engaging speaker who inspires audiences with insights on how we, as individuals, as a society, and as businesses, can embrace digitalization and its opportunities — and what warning signs we need to be aware of.
The entrepreneurial doctor Imran is a trained specialist in general medicine and former Head of Innovation at Denmark's largest private hospital chain, Aleris-Hamlet. His talks are characterized by high professional expertise, and his great interest in and understanding of the possibilities offered by digital development is bound to influence his audience. Imran is particularly interested in how modern technology affects our physical and mental health.
Imran is a former practicing physician but left the public healthcare system after growing tired of the medical world’s failure to keep up with digital developments and the bureaucracy that rarely encouraged innovation. During his time as Head of Innovation, Imran helped launch several national and international digital health solutions. Alongside this, he has conducted over 2,000 preventive health consultations with top and mid-level executives in Danish business, giving him unique insights into the connections between leadership and suffering.
Imran is the author of the thought-provoking book "SLUK – The Art of Surviving in a Digital World" (2017), which focuses on how digitalization directly affects people, and what it really means for our physical and mental health when we check our phones up to 150 times a day and constantly process vast amounts of digital information. In 2019, he co-authored the follow-up "Offline" with marketing expert Søren Kenner, in which they conducted in-depth research into the potentially harmful effects of digitalization on human health.
He has since founded the Center for Healthy Digitalization, a consultancy advising companies and government ministries on sustainable and human-friendly digital transformation processes.
