Jennifer Borrero is a global keynote speaker, impact entrepreneur, and housing advocate known for transforming complex systems into stories that move people to action. Her work sits at the intersection of housing, justice, and community, where policy meets lived experience. From global stages to grassroots communities, she challenges audiences to rethink leadership, belonging, and the future we are collectively creating.
Jennifer Borrero is a non-profit founder and global keynote speaker transforming how organizations, leaders, and communities think about housing, justice, and community development. Her work is grounded in lived experience and informed by systems thinking, allowing her to connect personal stories with structural realities. Jennifer does not speak about change from a distance. She builds it, documents it, and teaches others how to lead it with intention.
As a first-generation American, Jennifer grew up believing deeply in the promise of the American Dream. She followed every rule she was told would lead to stability and success, pursuing a high-paying career to support her family. That path eventually led her to Wall Street, where she worked at the largest asset management firm in the world. On paper, she had achieved everything she was supposed to. In practice, she felt disconnected from the impact she wanted her life to have.
In 2020, Jennifer made the decision to walk away from a prestigious career without a clear roadmap ahead. What followed was a period of service that quickly became purpose. She began volunteering with organizations supporting people experiencing homelessness, attending community meetings, and advocating alongside residents whose lives were directly shaped by housing policy.
Through these experiences, Jennifer gained firsthand insight into how systems operate and who they leave behind. One conversation led to another, and soon she found herself speaking at the United Nations about the work she was doing on the ground. That moment marked a turning point, transforming her from a participant in change to a leader shaping it.
Since then, Jennifer has founded the Youth Housing Coalition, an organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders in community development. She is also actively developing sustainable and equitable housing projects in Atlanta and Mexico, bringing together policy, land, and community voices to create spaces where people can truly belong.
Her work reflects a belief that where and how we build shapes opportunity, dignity, and access. Jennifer approaches housing not only as infrastructure, but as a foundation for education, health, and economic mobility. This perspective allows her to speak with authority to audiences across sectors, from students and activists to executives and civic leaders.
Jennifer Borrero is known for bold storytelling, clarity of vision, and an ability to challenge assumptions without alienating her audience. She has delivered TEDx talks on the future of housing and spoken for organizations including the United Nations, Comcast, Boeing, and NAFSA. She has also given formal addresses to presidents and prime ministers on topics ranging from education to sustainable development.
Whether speaking to young professionals, corporate leaders, or policymakers, Jennifer’s goal remains the same: to help people see that systems are not fixed, leadership is not reserved for a select few, and creating change does not require permission. Her keynotes leave audiences with practical insight, renewed responsibility, and a sense of agency.
Jennifer is available for speaking engagements on a wide range of topics, including youth activism, civic engagement, social entrepreneurship, international human rights, careers in tech for the future, and community-led development. Her work has been recognized with the Hispanic Executive 30 Under 30 Award for Social Impact and the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition NextGen Leader Award. She holds a Master’s degree from Georgia State University and serves as a Global Ambassador for the United Nations Association.
At the heart of Jennifer’s work is a deeply personal mission. She was once a young woman who wanted to create change and did not know where to start. Today, she uses her voice to help others find their starting point and build something meaningful from there.
