Jesse was born in 1968 to a Jewish family in New York City. He got his B.A. in 1990 and then signed a deal with Delicious Vinyl Records, releasing a number of tracks. In 1992, he wrote and sang the Emmy Award-winning, ‘I Love This Game’ for the NBA. He also wrote the New York Knicks anthem, ‘Go NY Go’ and another 50 songs for other sports franchises. Four years later, he and a partner founded Alphabet City Sports Records which was then sold two years later.
Jesse is a man who likes to take risks, and so in 2001, with no experience in aviation, he and a partner started a private jet firm called Marquis Jet. They made over $5 billion before selling it to NetJets in 2009. In the same year, he founded ‘The 100 Mile Group’ to help get businesses off the ground. The group signed a deal with Zico Coconut Water and Coca-Cola. It was sold to Coca-Cola in 2012.
Jesse thinks out of the box. In 2015, with the feeling that his life was almost on autopilot, he enlisted the help of a Navy SEAL to change things around. This experience gave rise to the NYT bestseller, ‘Living with a SEAL.’ Today, Jesse is an owner of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks.
