Nataly was the perfect keynote speaker and her ability to connect with our employees – in the room or by video from across the globe – was amazing. Every employee who attended took away a ‘nugget’ that stayed with them long after her session was over.

A leading expert on emotional fitness, Nataly Kogan is an entrepreneur, best-selling author, and keynote speaker on a mission to help millions of people embrace their Awesome Human, struggle less and thrive more in work and life!

Nataly immigrated to the US as a refugee from the former Soviet Union when she was 13 years old. Starting her American life in the projects and on welfare, she learned English by watching “Who’s the Boss?” on repeat. She went on to reach the highest levels of success at McKinsey and Microsoft, as a Managing Director at a venture capital fund, and as founder or executive at 5 startups and tech companies. But after years of chasing a non-existent state of nirvana, Nataly suffered a debilitating burnout that led her to find a new way to live and work. Today, she helps Awesome Humans break free from daily burnout, unleash their full human potential, and experience more joy and meaning by sharing her unboring science-backed Happier Method™ – and her signature positive energy!

Nataly is a sought-after international keynote speaker and has appeared in hundreds of media outlets, including The Wall Street Journal, Harvard Business Review, The New York Times, TEDx Boston and SXSW.  She is the founder of Happier, Inc. and has worked with hundreds of top companies, teams, and leaders through her Happier @ Work and leadership programs.

Nataly is the author of HAPPIER NOW, GRATITUDE DAILY, and THE AWESOME HUMAN PROJECT and hosts The Awesome Human Podcast that people call their “best-self hour”.

Nataly began painting when she turned 40 and is a self-taught abstract artist. She loves bright colors, overuses the word “awesome”, and is the funniest person in her family.

The Awesome Human Project

Break free from daily burnout, struggle less and thrive more in work and life

(Based on Nataly’s best-selling book THE AWESOME HUMAN PROJECT)

Every single one of us has unique potential and capacity to create positive, meaningful impact — at work and in life. But the only way we can unleash our full capacity to be a force of good without burning out is by making our emotional fitness a top, non-negotiable priority. As Nataly says in this powerful keynote: “You can’t give what you don’t have.”

As a successful entrepreneur, executive and refugee, Nataly learned this lesson the hard way. For decades, she pursued a successful and meaningful career by pushing herself beyond her limits, wearing exhaustion as a badge of honor, and ignoring her emotional health. Until she burned out and almost lost everything that was meaningful to her, including the company she had founded.

With her signature straight talk, vulnerability, and contagious energy, Nataly shares the essential mindset shifts, research and super tangible practices to help you break free from daily burnout, struggle less and thrive more — so you can embrace your Awesome Human!

Audience members will learn:

  • Common symptoms of daily burnout and tangible strategies to address them
  • Why emotional fitness is an essential ingredient in success and meaningful impact
  • How to effectively manage your energy (aka practice self-care) daily
  • Emotional fitness skills to reduce struggle, even when life is challenging
Keynote by Nataly Kogan

The Power of Emotional Fitness @ Work

Science-backed skills to fuel your energy, reduce stress, and handle challenges with greater resilience

Exhaustion, stress, and burnout are at an all-time high. We’re feeling less connected to ourselves, our work, and our colleagues. And constant change, uncertainty, and challenges have drained our energy reserves. But work doesn’t have to be an emotional drain or cause of burnout. As Nataly shares in this powerful and refreshing keynote, it can be a source of meaning, connection, and joy — yes, even during change and challenges.

With her signature contagious energy, straight talk, and plenty of humor, Nataly shares research from neuroscience and psychology, and her powerful, personal story of success and overcoming burnout. Using her science-backed Happier Method™, she activates you to strengthen your emotional fitness by integrating simple practices into your daily routine (please don’t call her a motivational speaker!)

Audience members will learn:

  • Emotional fitness skills to reduce stress and avoid daily burnout
  • How to create a daily gratitude practice to experience more joy and satisfaction at work
  • A fresh take on self-care as a skill of managing your energy and realistic ways to fit into your busy schedule
  • How practicing Intentional Kindness can help you feel more connected and happier at work
Keynote by Nataly Kogan

A Daily Legacy of Kindness

How practicing Intentional Kindness can lead to more meaningful human connections, greater sense of purpose, and better outcomes

A sense of belonging is a core human need, without which we can’t function or perform anywhere near our best. But in our digital, busy world, it is increasingly more challenging to feel connected, creating feelings of isolation, loneliness, and lack of common purpose.

Creating a culture of kindness and compassion is the necessary cure. In this deeply inspiring and practical keynote, Nataly challenges the audience to look at kindness through a fresh lens: as a daily intentional practice vs. “random acts of kindness”. She shares uplifting stories, scientific research on the benefits of kindness and compassion, and specific ways to integrate kindness practices into even the busiest of days.

Audience members will learn:

  • The science of kindness and human connection, belonging, and finding a greater sense of purpose in your work and life
  • How leading with kindness and compassion improves performance and outcomes
  • How to make kindness a daily priority vs. “random acts of kindness”

Emotionally Fit Leadership

The skills modern leaders need to fuel their team’s thriving, motivation, and resilience

Leading your team through constant change and uncertainty, which are the signature of today’s world of work, is even harder.  In this keynote, Nataly empowers leaders with the emotional fitness skills they need to do it successfully, helping their teams not just get through challenges, but grow and thrive!

Using the groundbreaking, science-backed Happier Method™ for Leaders, and armed with research from neuroscience and psychology, Nataly shares proven skills and simple yet powerful practices to help leaders improve their emotional awareness and compassion, and create a culture of gratitude, acceptance, and psychological safety.

Leaders will learn:

  • Why uncertainty is so difficult for the human brain to handle and practices to help their teams move through it with less struggle
  • The concept of the Emotional Whiteboard, and practices to improve their emotional awareness and their team’s psychological safety
  • How to improve resilience and motivation by creating a culture of gratitude
  • A fresh take on self-care as a skill of managing energy and specific strategies to encourage their team members to make it a daily priority

Thriving Through Change

A blueprint for working through uncertainty with greater energy, resilience, and sense of purpose

Change is hard. It always comes with uncertainty and uncertainty is extremely difficult for the human brain to handle. It responds with stress, anxiety, and over-focusing on everything that could go wrong.

In this inspiring yet practical keynote, Nataly shares her science-backed blueprint of how to use emotional fitness skills to help your brain — and yourself! — struggle less so you can grow and thrive through change.

Audience members will learn:

  • How the brain responds to uncertainty and emotional fitness skills to reduce unnecessary worry, overthinking, and stress
  • Why gratitude is an essential skill during change and how to create a consistent gratitude practice (individually and as a team)
  • How to connect to your Bigger Why during challenging times and the ways it fuels your motivation and resilience
