“Prof Robert Kelly recently gave an excellent presentation to BDO Ireland’s partners entitled “Performance Risk: The Hidden Variable in Leadership”. Thought provoking and insightful, Prof Kelly delved into the characteristics and habits of busy partners and why we need to take a step back and look at our behaviours and the impact that stress, poor diet, sleep deficiency, and lack of exercise has on our heart health and wellbeing. His example of patient “Dermot” (pseudonym) really hit home, as did his explanation of the “Heart Reset Method” as a tool we can use to achieve our health goals. Overall, a hugely valuable and enjoyable session, helping our partners become more aware of their own hearth health and showing them how to go about making positive lifestyle changes.
