About Mountains
- There is no real definition stating how tall a mountain must be before it is a real mountain and not just a major hill. Still we do make distinctions between mountains and hills.
- The tallest mountains in the world are to be found in the Himalaya range, including the tallest mountain of them all, Mount Everest of some 9000 metres.
- Other famous mountains include Fujiyama in Japan, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and the Matterhorn of the alps, between Switzerland and Italy.
