TEDx speaker Alexandra Forsyth empowers leaders with insights on cyber security, personal development, and building a future-ready mindset.
Alexandra Forsyth is a cyber security leader, TEDx speaker and podcast host known for turning complex threats into clear, practical strategies. She works at the intersection of technology, human behaviour and leadership, helping organisations across industries build resilience before risk strikes. Alexandra shapes conversations with C-suite leaders and IT teams, challenging fatigue within the cyber industry and championing a more human approach to security.
Alexandra Forsyth is one of the most prominent voices shaping human-first cyber security today. With a background spanning consultancy, retail, fashion and technology, she helps organisations understand emerging risks while building programmes that strengthen people, culture and decision-making. Her keynotes and workshops equip leaders with practical insight, clear frameworks and the mindset needed to handle constant change.
Alexandra spends significant time with C-Suite teams, security professionals and technical units to uncover the root causes of business fatigue within the cyber field. Her work highlights how resilience grows when organisations bring employees into the journey, remove unnecessary complexity and replace fear with clarity. From the latest threat activity to the emotional strain teams face, she tackles security as both a technical and human challenge.
A core theme across Alexandra’s talks is the idea that culture, more than code, keeps organisations safe. Whether discussing evolving threat actors, the pressure of AI adoption or organisational blind spots, she brings attention back to people. Her TEDx talk, “Why We Need Community Now More Than Ever” (2024), reminded audiences of the power of connection, collaboration and openness in times of rapid change. She continues this message through her work, encouraging leaders to create environments where conversation replaces hierarchy and where security becomes everyone’s responsibility.
Her delivery style is engaging, direct and grounded in real experience. Alexandra links threat intelligence with mindset, mental health and team readiness, offering a rare combination of technical credibility and human insight.
Alexandra’s cyber career is built on deep, hands-on threat intelligence experience. As Threat Intelligence Industry Lead at Accenture Security (2022–2025), she supported major global retail and fashion brands. Her work included threat landscape reporting, modelling exercises, executive briefings, playbook creation, risk assessments and threat management strategies.
She collaborated across SOC, incident response, threat hunting, research, GRC, legal, brand teams and business functions to strengthen intelligence capabilities end-to-end. Her work also supported high-pressure periods such as Black Friday and Christmas peak seasons.
Key activities included:
Before Accenture, Alexandra specialised in the gaming industry as a Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst at The Workshop, supporting teams through indicators of compromise and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, Pyramid of Pain and Kill Chain. Her foundational experience at Tempest Security Intelligence strengthened her investigative skills across OSINT tools, suspicious activity monitoring and client-driven analysis.
Alexandra is deeply committed to opening doors for others. She recently co-led the first Women in Cyber programme in Ukraine, supporting new talent in the field. The initiative included a three-day conference in Kyiv followed by a ten-week virtual programme featuring speakers across technical and non-technical disciplines. The goal was simple: demystify cyber careers, strengthen confidence and give participants a clearer view of the opportunities ahead.
Her community focus extends further. Alexandra launched the podcast “Take a Chance on You”, inspired by conversations with strangers in London and a growing awareness of widespread loneliness, anxiety and the lack of career guidance across industries. Episodes explore transformation across sectors such as fashion, business, finance, healthcare, beauty, sports, culture, technology and cyber security. She often weaves cyber themes into broader discussions, widening perspectives on how technology shapes modern lives.
Alexandra’s insights have reached audiences through platforms including TEDx Woodlane Women, Authority Magazine, UC Today, RSA Conference, Forbes, Business Insider, The Guardian, Tech Stories and the Daily Express. Her ability to translate technical risk into relatable stories sets her apart, making her a go-to speaker for organisations seeking clarity in an increasingly complex digital world.
