Who is Azran Osman-Rani?

Azran Osman-Rani is a business builder at heart. As CEO and co-founder of Naluri, he leads a digital behavioral health company that takes a preventive and holistic approach to mental health and chronic disease management. Starting with just one intern, Naluri has grown into a 200-person organization serving more than 1 million users across five Southeast Asian markets in just five years.

His work focuses on outcomes, combining technology, behavioral science and healthcare to deliver measurable impact at scale. This approach reflects his broader philosophy: building businesses that solve real problems while growing sustainably.

 

From startup to IPO

Before Naluri, Azran served as CEO of AirAsia X, where he transformed a business plan into a publicly listed company valued at $1 billion. Over six years, he scaled the company to 2,500 employees, helping pioneer long-haul low-cost travel in Asia.

He later became CEO of iflix Malaysia, where he played a key role in expanding the platform to 20 million users across 20 markets in just three years. These experiences place him among a select group of leaders who have successfully scaled businesses across industries, from aviation to digital media to health tech.

 

Leadership across industries

Azran’s leadership journey also includes roles at Astro, Bursa Malaysia and McKinsey & Company. Across these organizations, he developed a deep understanding of strategy, execution and organizational growth.

His academic background reflects the same balance of analytical thinking and innovation. He holds a Master’s in Management Science and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, equipping him with both technical expertise and strategic insight.
