Dr. Alex Ellis is an award-winning author, international speaker, and trainer who turns heads across the nation through his transformational message. He has been featured on CNN, Good Morning America, BET, Black Enterprise’s Our World Television Show, the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Dr. Ellis has also been honored with the distinguished BE Modern Man Award from Black Enterprise.
Dr. Ellis passionately delivers a fresh perspective that empowers people to reach their maximum potential. He has taken this message to global audiences including Disney, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, UNCF, National Black MBA Association, and notable colleges and universities such as UCLA, Rutgers, Howard, Villanova, Morehouse, and USC to name a few. He has conducted professional development trainings for JP Morgan Chase (TFI – The Fellowship Initiative), Prudential, and INROADS. Training young professionals on the skills needed to present the best of who they are and how to position themselves as leaders in Corporate America. Dr. Ellis hosts his speaker training event, SpeakUp. This event targeted professionals who endeavored not only to become professional speakers but also professionals who wanted to hone their speaking strengths and leverage those skills to effectively communicate no matter what the situation.
This New Jersey native proves to be one of this era’s leading men by accepting his responsibility of social impartation. His non-profit organization Tied to Greatness, is an international mentoring initiative that has impacted more than 10,000 inner-city high school males in the U.S. and abroad. Let me take a moment to introduce you to a program that will transform the lives of the young men of your high school. Tied To Greatness uses the power of positive male role models, the influence of fashion, and the symbolism of the necktie as a point of manhood and maturity to remind young men about the importance of personal image and to encourage each participant to make different choices about their future. The image and character of our young men is being challenged and this program gives a cutting-edge approach to counteract the nonchalant image that is plaguing our culture. This all-male assembly educates young men on the importance of image internally and externally, our quorum of community men presents the students with ties, affirms their greatness, and then gives them a lesson on how to tie the tie. The young men then get to keep the ties for future special events.
