Beyond academia, Dr Suter has served in numerous leadership roles, including Chairperson of the International Humanitarian Law Committee of the Australian Red Cross (NSW), Chairperson of the International Commission of Jurists (NSW), and Director of Studies at the International Law Association (Australian Branch). Since 1993, Dr Suter has been a member of the prestigious Club of Rome an organisation of just 100 global leaders, thinkers and scientists, including the late Mikhail Gorbachev.
