Graduating from Gonville & Caius College in Cambridge with a degree in Modern History, Andrew Roberts has delved into the lives of some of the most heralded and controversial historical figures in the world. In 2011, he worked as a commentator for NBC along with Meredith Viera to cover the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate. Focusing primarily on European history, Roberts has written expansive works about World War II, Napoleon, and Winston Churchill. By 2021, Roberts published George III. His historical account of Britain’s former King received widespread acclaim and several awards, including recognition from the Colonial Wars General Society and Elizabeth Longford Award for Historical Biography. His other books have received numerous awards, including Wolfson History Prize, James Stern Non-fiction Silver Pen Award, and Los Angeles Times Prize for Biography.
