Bear Grylls is undoubtedly a man to be admired and has been awarded numerous honors including his appointment as Chief Ambassador to the World Scout Movement. He is also an Honorary Colonel to the Royal Marines Commandos.

He has faced many adversities, not least of which was a free-fall parachuting accident. After months of rehabilitation to recover from breaking his back in three places, he astounded medical professionals by reaching the summit of Mount Everest, one of the youngest ever climbers to achieve this.

Founder of the Bear Grylls Survival Academy, he challenges participants to go beyond their comfort zone and learn from new experiences. Working together is a key trait in Bear's life and he also encourages families to take in outdoor adventures, binding in the process.
