How to reduce stress in your life by 80% and possibly eliminate it entirely

    • Stress is often related to financial worries, relationship problems, professional setbacks, health concerns, but also many other possibilities. What most don’t realize is that there is a single root cause underlying all these – a desire for the universe to behave in a particular way, and the universe is not cooperating. Our need for ‘control’ is not being met. It is possible, nay necessary, for us to let go of the need for control.
    • In this talk, the keynote speaker Srikumar Rao will show you several strategies that can be used in order to let go. Paradoxically, once we release the desire to control the outcome, the probability that we will reach the outcome we want actually increases.

How to be an inspiring leader

    • Wanting to be an inspiring leader is actually counter-productive. Digging down, it is simply a reflection of the desire to have others do what one would like them to do. It is all about ‘what I want’ and is inherently me-centered. Becoming an inspiring leader is not an aspirational goal. It is a by-product. Grand vision and personal inspiration, a call for something that one is willing to evote a big chunk of his/her life to is what makes a great leader. Get personally inspired and you will learn how to communicate your vision and inspire others.

How to effortlessly build a network of deep and long lasting relationships

    • Contacts are important. Every upwardly mobile professional knows this. There are books, programs and seminars on how to network better. It is sometimes not that easy to cultivate a person based on his – or her – position and the help that you might potentially receive some time in the future. Apart from the ethical and personal honesty issues involved, consider the enormous amount of time expended in the pursuit of such contacts.
    • Suppose it were possible to set up a system whereby you did not have to build a network. Anytime you needed help, a person would appear who had precisely the knowledge and/or resources you required. You can learn to function in this way. In this keynote you will learn the prerequisites that are needed to build a network of deep and long lasting relationships.

    How to be happy

    • Happiness – We seek it here, we seek it there, and we’ve learnt to seek it everywhere. All of our activities – our pursuit of fame and fortune, our quest for meaningful relationships, and our drive to build or change things – are directed searches for this ephemeral state. We get there, but we can never heave a lasting sigh of relief because we leave before we are ready to. What is ‘happiness’? Can it be a permanent member of our household rather than an itinerant visitor like Tagore’s Kabuliwallah? It is indeed possible to greatly increase the pure joy we experience in life. But we have to give up many of our cherished mental models to do so.

    How to be resilient

    • Perhaps the most important characteristic that determines whether or not a person succeeds in today’s business world is resilience – the ability to bounce back after setbacks. Competition is global and can come from anywhere. An Internet start-up like Craig’s List decimated the classified advertising business for newspapers and drove many into bankruptcy and mergers. Upstarts like Uber and AirBnB are upending long established industries like taxis and hotels. Setbacks happen faster, more often and are more serious in impact. Resilience in such an environment is an essential survival skill.
    • In this keynote, our speaker Srikumar Rao advertises ‘extreme resilience’. In extreme resilience you recover so fast that an external observer may not even notice that you have suffered a reverse. This is a teachable skill and a learnable ability.
