Th keynote speaker Mark Zandi is the chief economist at Moody’s Analytics, where he directs economic research. Moody’s Analytics is a subsidiary of Moody’s Corp., and it is a leading provider of data, economic research and analytical tools. Dr. Zandi is the cofounder of Economy.com. Moody’s purchased Economy.com in 2005.
Dr. Zandi’s broad scope of research interests encompasses macroeconomics, public policy and financial markets. His recent research has focused on foreclosure mitigation policy as well as the determinants of mortgage foreclosure, and personal bankruptcy. He has analyzed the economic impact of a variety of tax and government spending policies, and he has assessed the most appropriate monetary policy response to bubbles in the asset markets.

His upcoming book, Paying the Price, provides a useful road map for meeting the nation’s daunting fiscal challenges.
Dr. Zandi earned his B.S. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. He currently lives with his wife and their three children in the suburbs of Philadelphia.
